Digital Fortress; by Dan Brown.

This one deals with current problems and politics around security of internet and data that could protect or threaten with a breach, as usual written in form of a mystery thriller.

Strangely enough it goes through all the usual murders to make it interesting which in real world is unnecessary for the subject he chose this time, although who knows what extent they might go to - but loss of security of information on the net is threatening enough for a thrill, though nothing pleasant about it of course.
