Well written, even though a few unsavory descriptions that, despite having read the author, still bother someone more used to expecting a satvik tone.
At some point, when she's gone to Khandesh, suddenly it becomes familiar, however different in details.
Was this the story that Benegal used fir his third film, Bhumika?
The story evokes far more emotions than the film did even in a far younger audience, and far more sympathy despite a recounting by a third voice, not the main character as the protagonist.
