Playing For Pizza: A Novel; by John Grisham.

Not a mystery, not about murders, and yet one of the most delightful books ever written by Grisham - and this from a reader who is while very fond of the writer's work is on the other hand decidedly not a sports afficionado!

Especially when the journalist indulging in mudslinging without concern for the person whose losses of career and life he is callous to is delivered a blow, it is a sheer delight. (And this from someone who is decidedly never inclined to become a boxing or - "American" - football fan!)
