Is it wrong for someone to want more, wrong just by being of the other gender?

Once, not too long ago, that would generate brickbats and abusive treatment,  from everybody - Ryan's Daughter, anyone? - and John Galsworthy was considered revolutionary for the first book of his Forsyte Saga.

For that matter there are films galore through decades since, depicting quite truthfully, just how dangerous it can get for a woman to attempt leaving someone she cannot live with - Sleeping With The Enemy, Enough, ....

Times have changed, but not by much - she may dare to begin a journey into unknown, leaving the shore of an unsatisfactory relationship, if she dare.

The rest of it reads more like a catalogue of sadism outfitted with what's supposed to be a story with characters who aren't real as much as advertising tools for the practices described, and one wonders if the author identity really is of a human female, so distanced she seems from concerns of women not imaginary; is this a computer software writing in name of a woman? No woman of whatever age could be so unaware of concerns discussed on Oprah Winfrey show about females in U.S. being kidnapped and kept imprisoned, tortured apart from rape, murdered, mutilated and more; this book seems designed yo make it look attractive! There is worse than fraud involved in this attempt.

I am uncertain about who bought this from Amazon and why; it probably was a mistake made while buying a great deal of other, mostly worthy, books in one go. One owes an apology to oneself.

And the book gets boring, fast.

Reading it on, after a point arrived early, can only be explained in words of Leonard Hofstadter as he explains to Penny, in Big Bang Theory, why he must wear the horrible sweater Sheldon asked him to wear.
